but why the hell would tow hooks be deleted with the addition of the track package??

That does seem at cross purposes. Maybe the sway mounts differently?

It's possible that the tow hooks in the track pack are different. Check what's included with that.

Because the track package on a Cadillac makes you so awesome at track driving that you will never go off - ever. Hence no need for tow hooks.

Because if it's a track car, you aren't going to tow anything with it, duh! You would want the TOW PACKAGE to get the TOW HOOKS.

Either that or the shipping tow hook would not be required if it is not being shipped overseas, if for some reason the track package was US only.
